Kitzbühel is one of the largest ski regions in Austria, situated between the mountains Hahnenkamm and Kitzbühler Horn. The Hahnenkamm is home of the annual World Cup ski races. Kitzbühel has direct access to 158km of downhill skiing, with 70 individual pistes, served by 30 ski lifts. Skiing began here in the 19th century. Kitzbühel is a ski resort of international renown.
